The USDGC has held both distance and putting championships since its inception in 1999. Over the years, winners of these events began referring to themselves as the United States Champions for the respective disciplines. This dovetailed nicely with the annual crowning of the United States Disc Golf Champion.
In recent years, Championship Village at the USDGC has exploded into one of disc golf’s can’t-miss experiences of the year. The United States Disc Golf Putting Championship extends beyond USDGC competitors and is open to USDGC fans. This is a unique opportunity for some of the world’s best putters to compete with each other and against the best disc golfers in the world.
Qualifying rounds are held throughout Championship Week, leading to an epic showdown that crowns the division champions. This is your chance to go head-to-head with the best, make new memories, and experience the excitement of championship-level putting. So mark your calendars, start practicing those putts, and get ready to make history—the path to putting greatness begins here!
Beginning in 2024-2025, we are inviting putting leagues from around the world to be qualifying events for the US Disc Golf Putting Championship at the USDGC. League promoters are welcome to use the format of their choosing. All you need to do is share your weekly and overall league winners with us so we can provide additional prizes and invitations to the big dance at Winthrop!
