Dear US Disc Golf Member,

Greetings from The Road to the Championship where qualifying action for both the USDGC and Throw Pink Women’s Disc Golf Championship is heating up! The Dynamic Discs Open proved to be one of the most exciting tour stops of the season. Paul McBeth and Hailey King earned the top spots in the men’s and women’s open divisions. Both wins came in dramatic fashion down the stretch on the final day of competition.

Those punching their tickets to Winthrop this October were Gavin Rathbun, Andrew Presnell, Zackeriath Johnson, Ezra Robinson, and Ty Love. On the women’s side, Hailey King and Heather Young grabbed the two available spots for the inaugural Throw Pink Women’s Disc Golf Championship.

Road to the Championship qualifying continues this weekend at The Challenge at Goat Hill Park, a DGPT Silver Series event in Oceanside, CA. Competition begins tomorrow. Tune into UDiscLive for live scoring and to monitor who is in contention to earn their spot to compete this October at Winthrop University.

USDGC Doubles qualifying events are also being held throughout the country. This is a great opportunity to get into the competitive action during Championship Week at Winthrop. Round one of USDGC Doubles is held on the infamous Winthrop Arena course. Rounds two and three will take place at Camp Canaan, nestled along the Catawba River in Rock Hill, SC.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you on the course!

Regards,

Jonathan Poole
