Dear US Disc Golf Member,

Greetings from The Road to the Championship where qualifying for both the USDGC and Throw Pink Women’s Disc Golf Championship is in full gear! The latest stop was the Portland Open, where Eagle McMahon and Paige Pierce emerged with the titles in the men’s and women’s open divisions.

Others punching their USDGC tickets to Winthrop this October were Austin Hannum, Simon Lizotte, Luke Humphries, Thomas Gilbert, and Joel Freeman. On the women’s side, Valerie Mandujano and Madison Walker grabbed the two available spots for the inaugural Throw Pink Women’s Championship.

Qualifying continues later this month at the 2021 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships in Ogden, UT. Be sure to visit the Pro Worlds information page on how you can follow all of the action this year. You can also tune into UDiscLive for live scoring and to monitor which players are in contention to earn their spot at Winthrop.

USDGC Doubles qualifying events are also being held throughout the country. This is a great opportunity to get into the competitive action during Championship Week at Winthrop. Round one of USDGC Doubles is held on the infamous Winthrop Arena course. Rounds two and three will take place at Camp Canaan, nestled along the Catawba River in Rock Hill, SC.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you on the course!

Regards,

Jonathan Poole
