Each competitor must be at the distance competition site at least 15 minutes prior to their assigned tee time, register with the distance admin, be warmed up and ready to throw.  Any competitor missing their tee time may be subject to disqualification. In the qualifying rounds, each competitor will get 5 throws to be thrown within a 3 minute time limit.  

 

The throwing field is approximately 200′ wide, bordered by trees, and the edges of the field will be outlined as Out of Bounds The longest throw from each competitor, landing in bounds, will be recorded at the initial point of contact with the ground.  Skips and rollers will not be included in the measurement.  Hitting a tree will be considered out of bounds. 

 

In the Qualifying and Final rounds, each competitor will get 5 throws to be thrown within a 3 minute time limit.  The 6 longest throwers in the Open Division and 3 longest throwers in the Women’s Division, will compete in the Finals to be held at approximately 4:30 PM.  The tee times for the Finals will be in the reverse order of qualifying placement, with the longest qualifying thrower going last in each division.
